Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 whole Yellow Onion, Chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 1 pound Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 cup Italian Seasoned Bread Crumbs
  • 1/4 cups Parmesan Cheese, Grated
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 2- 1/2 Tablespoons Sauce (see Below)
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • 3/4 cups Ketchup
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce

Method

  • 1.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper (or tin foil).
  • 2.
  • In a medium-sized skillet, drizzle about a tablespoon (depending on the size of your onion) of olive oil.
  • Heat to medium heat, then add the chopped onion.
  • Saute until soft, then add in the minced garlic and continue to cook 1-2 minutes.
  • Set aside to cool.
  • 3.
  • In a small bowl, combine the ketchup and Worcestershire sauce to make the sauce.
  • Set side.
  • 4.
  • In a medium-sized bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, cheese, egg, sauteed onions and garlic, 2 1/2 tablespoons of sauce, salt and pepper to taste.
  • Using your hands, fold the mixture to combine, taking care not to overwork it.
  • 5.
  • Mold the mixture into 4-5 miniature-shaped loaves on the lined sheet pan.
  • With the back of a spoon, make a little indention or well, in the center of each loaf.
  • (This will be to hold extra sauce!)
  • 6.
  • Bake in a 350 degrees F oven for 30 minutes then pull out and spoon sauce into the center of each loaf.
  • Place back in the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes.
  • 7.
  • Garnish with a little bit of chopped fresh parsley to serve (optional).
