Ingredients

  • 2 carrots, minced
  • 1/2 sm. cabbage, shredded
  • 2 sm. onions, minced
  • 2 turnips, minced
  • 1 c. shelled peas
  • 1 c. string beans, cut up
  • 1/2 pound beef, cut in bite-size pcs
  • 1 pound Italian sausage, cut up
  • 1 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 8 c. boiling water
  • 1 teaspoon each salt & pepper

Method

  • Combine everything but sausage and Parmesan cheese in large pot.
  • Cover and cook over low heat for about 1 1/2 hrs.
  • Add in sausages and cook another 1/2 hour.
  • Serve with Parmesan cheese on top.
  • Serves 4 to 6.
