Ingredients

  • 2 c. butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 5 c. oatmeal, blended into a fine powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 24 oz. chocolate chips
  • 1 (8 oz.) Hershey bar, grated
  • 3 c. chopped nuts

Method

  • Cream butter and both sugars.
  • Add eggs and vanilla; blend well.
  • Add all remaining ingredients.
  • Mix well.
  • (You will probably have to use your hands because the mixture will be thick and dry.
  • Very small portions of water may be dribbled into the mixture to help with the blending.)
  • Roll into balls and place 2-inches apart on a cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 375° for 10 minutes. Makes approximately 100 cookies.
