Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 3 slices bread, soaked in 1/3 c. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. salt (1/2 in meat)
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. white wine
  • 1/4 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped chives
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes in 2 c. hot water
  • 2 Tbsp. minced onions
  • steamed rice
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley flakes
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 1 bay leaf

Method

  • Mix ground beef, onions, bread, salt and pepper.
  • Form into meatballs; brown in butter.
  • Drain grease; scrape meat particles loose.
  • Place meatballs back in skillet.
