Ingredients

  • 1 medium pear
  • 1 medium apple
  • 1/4 c. raisins
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. vanilla

Method

  • Cut the pear and apple into 3/4 inch pieces. Toss with raisins. Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet. When it sizzles, add the fruit and cook, stirring gently, for 3 to 5 minutes. Stir in maple syrup and cinnamon; cook until the fruit begins to soften and the sauce is slightly thickened, 1 to 2 minutes. Remove from heat and gently stir in the vanilla. Serve over pancakes or waffles. Also good with yogurt or ice cream.
