Ingredients
- 8 eggs
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 3 1/2 qt. milk
Method
- Scald the milk.
- Beat the eggs.
- Mix the cornstarch and sugar together.
- Mix with eggs and 1/2 quart of the milk.
- Then blend with the 3 quarts of scalded milk on the stove.
- Cook slowly until mixture coats spoon.
- Refrigerate a glass to chicken thickness. If lumpy, beat with electric mixer.
- Add vanilla to taste, about 1 teaspoon per 16 ounce glass.
