Ingredients
- macaroni
- 1 tsp. margarine, melted
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. dried mustard
- 3 c. grated sharp cheese
- 1 c. milk
Method
- Boil macaroni until tender and drain.
- Stir in melted margarine and beaten egg.
- Add cheese, leaving enough to sprinkle on top.
- Pour into buttered casserole dish.
- Mix mustard and salt with 1 teaspoon hot water; add milk, then pour mixture over casserole.
- Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
- Bake at 350° for 30 to 45 minutes until custard is set and top is a crusty golden brown.
