Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. elbow macaroni
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • onion powder
  • 1 medium loaf Velveeta cheese

Method

  • Cook macaroni in salted water until tender and drain.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter and blend in flour to form a paste, then add milk.
  • Cook and stir until thick.
  • Add salt and pepper and cover mixture entirely with onion powder.
  • Stir in cheese until melted. Mix sauce with macaroni and turn into 1 1/2-quart casserole pan. Cook at 350° for 45 minutes.
