Ingredients

  • 1/2 light fine egg noodles
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 pkg. onion soup mix
  • Shrimp or possibly chicken
  • 1 can chicken broth (13 3/4 ounce.)
  • 1/2 c. raw minute rice
  • 1 pkg. Chinese pea pods
  • 1 c. water chestnuts

Method

  • Heat butter and fry raw noodles till brown.
  • Keep tossing.
  • Add in water, dry soup mix, rice, broth, pea pods, water chestnuts and whatever meat you're using - shrimp, chicken - even beef or possibly pork if you'd like.
  • Cook 10 min.
  • Put entire mix into a casserole or possibly baking pan.
  • Cover and bake 35 min at 350 degrees.
  • Serve with Chinese noodles.
