Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1 large green pepper, sliced
  • 1 c. celery, cut up
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp. each salt and pepper
  • garlic, basil, oregano to taste
  • 1 packet Equal (optional)
  • 1 can mushrooms
  • 8 oz. noodles (wide)
  • 8 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 2 c. water

Method

  • Cook turkey, peppers, celery and mushrooms.
  • Add tomatoes, sauce, water and seasonings and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Spray 9 x 13-inch pan with Pam.
  • Spoon small amount on bottom.
  • Cover with uncooked noodles; pour remaining over top.
  • Cover with cheese. Bake 30 minutes at 350°.
  • Let stand 15 minutes before serving.
