Ingredients
- 1 (6 oz.) can lemonade
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 egg yolks
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 1/2 c. hot water
- 3 egg whites
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 6 Tbsp. sugar
Method
- Mix first 7 ingredients together and cook on medium heat until rolling boil.
- Cook 1 minute.
- Cool until room temperature.
- Beat egg whites until frothy.
- Add baking powder and beat, adding 6 tablespoons sugar one at a time until very stiff.
- Put meringue on top of pie and brown in oven.
