Ingredients

  • 6 potatoes
  • 3 hard-cooked eggs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1/2 c. chopped ham
  • 1/2 c. bread crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 1/2 c. heavy cream

Method

  • Cook potatoes in boiling water.
  • Pare and slice and arrange 1/3 of the slices in a greased baking dish.
  • Over the slices of potatoes, place the sliced eggs and sprinkle with salt.
  • Cover with half the sour cream.
  • Make another layer of potato slices, then one of ham, then cover with rest of the sour cream.
  • Finish with a final layer of potatoes.
  • Top with the crumbs mixed with melted butter.
  • Add the heavy cream.
  • Bake in hot oven at 450°
  • for 30 minutes or until crumbs are brown.
