Ingredients

  • 1 cup margarine or 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 5 cups flour
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 3 ounces cream cheese
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 14 cup margarine
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Method

  • Cream together margarine and sugar.
  • Add eggs, oil and vanilla and mix well.
  • Add flour, salt, cream of tartar and baking soda and mix all together well.
  • Roll into balls.
  • Cam be rolled in sugar or left plain and frosted.
  • Will flatten by themselves.
  • Bake for 11 minutes at 350 degrees.
  • Frosting: Cream together cream cheese and margarine.
  • Blend in powdered sugar and vanilla until the mixture gets"frosting-like".
