Ingredients
- 1 stick oleo
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. flour
- 1 c. sour milk or buttermilk
- 1 c. chopped pecans (should be finely chopped)
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 5 egg yolks
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 5 egg whites, beaten stiff
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. coconut
Method
- Cream oleo and Crisco.
- Add sugar, egg yolks, flour and soda to creamed mixture.
- Add milk.
- Stir in vanilla, coconut and chopped pecans.
- Fold in egg whites.
- Use 3 (9-inch) round pans (greased).
- Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.
