Ingredients
- 1 c. butter softened
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 2 c. C & H light brown sugar, divided
- 3 eggs, well-beaten
- 1/4 c. Gold Medal flour
- 2 c. C & H dark brown sugar
- 2 c. shredded coconut
- 2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. C & H powdered sugar, sifted
Method
- Mix together butter, 2 c. sifted flour and 1 c. light brown sugar.
- Spread evenly in jellyroll pan and bake for 12 minutes at 350.
- Cool.
- Mix remaining ingredients, except powdered sugar and pour on cooled crust.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes or until slightly set.
- Do not overbake.
- Cool thoroughly.
- When totally cool, sprinkle powdered sugar on top and cut into small squares.
