Ingredients

  • 1/4 pound fresh cooked small shrimp
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Kashmiri chilie or 1/4 tsp cayenne 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
  • Sprig Of chopped Thai basil or regular basil leaves
  • 1 finally chopped shallot
  • 1 package of thin won ton or sue gow wrappers

Method

  • Put the shrimp and chili powder in food processor and grind to a paste
  • Add in chopped shallot, spices, salt and chopped basil and mix all together well
  • Place a teaspoon of the shrimp mixture in the center of each wrapper and twist it closed like a little bag
  • Place a bamboo or other type of steamer over a pot of boiling water
  • If using bamboo spray each tray with non stick spray
  • Place the momo in the trays of the steamer
  • Steam for about 10 minutes
  • Serve with chutney or any sort of dipping sauce
