Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chuck
  • 12 cup onion, chopped
  • 14 cup bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 12 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
  • 12-34 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • sliced ripe olives (optional)

Method

  • Brown beef with the next three ingredients.
  • Drain well.
  • Add next 4 ingredients and combine.
  • Stir in the refried beans.
  • Heat, stirring frequently until hot.
  • Top with the cheese and olives (if using).
  • Serve with tortilla chips or crackers.
