Ingredients
- 4 to 5 chicken thighs or 3 to 4 split boneless chicken breasts
- 1 1/2 tsp. minced garlic
- 1/8 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/4 c. hoisin sauce
- 3 Tbsp. mango chutney or apricot preserves
- 2 tsp. rice or cider vinegar
- 1/4 tsp. ground pepper
- 2 tsp. sesame oil
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. toasted sesame seed
Method
- Preheat broiler for 5 minutes.
- Mix garlic, ginger, hoisin sauce, chutney, vinegar, pepper and oil.
- Remove skin from thighs or breasts.
- If using chicken breasts, cut into strips.
- Stir chicken into the marinade.
- Sprinkle top of chicken with sesame seed.
- Broil chicken 3 inches from broiler for 3 minutes.
- Turn; sprinkle with more sesame seed and broil for 3 minutes.
- Turn and broil 2 to 3 more minutes.
