Ingredients

  • 4 to 5 chicken thighs or 3 to 4 split boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 1/2 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1/8 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1/4 c. hoisin sauce
  • 3 Tbsp. mango chutney or apricot preserves
  • 2 tsp. rice or cider vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp. ground pepper
  • 2 tsp. sesame oil
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. toasted sesame seed

Method

  • Preheat broiler for 5 minutes.
  • Mix garlic, ginger, hoisin sauce, chutney, vinegar, pepper and oil.
  • Remove skin from thighs or breasts.
  • If using chicken breasts, cut into strips.
  • Stir chicken into the marinade.
  • Sprinkle top of chicken with sesame seed.
  • Broil chicken 3 inches from broiler for 3 minutes.
  • Turn; sprinkle with more sesame seed and broil for 3 minutes.
  • Turn and broil 2 to 3 more minutes.
