Ingredients

  • FOR THE BROWNIES:
  • 1/2 cups Butter
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 4 whole Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 16 ounces, fluid Hershey's Chocolate Syrup
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoons Salt
  • _____
  • FOR THE MINT FILLING:
  • 1/2 cups Butter
  • 2 cups Confectioners Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Water
  • 1/2 teaspoons Mint Extract
  • 3 drops Green Food Coloring
  • _____
  • FOR THE FROSTING:
  • 9 Tablespoons Butter
  • 1 bag (about 12 Oz. Bag) Mint Chocolate Chips Or Milk Chocolate Chips With A Teaspoon Or So Of Peppermint Extract

Method

  • Brownies: cream 1/2 cup butter and sugar, add eggs one at a time. Add vanilla and chocolate syrup. Mix in flour and salt, beat for 3 minutes.
  • Pour into a 13x9" pan (grease it or use parchment paper). Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. COOL COMPLETELY.
  • Mint filling:
  • Cream 1/2 cup butter; add powdered sugar, water, mint extract and food coloring. Beat until creamy. Spread over the brownies and chill in the fridge for at least an hour.
  • Mint chocolate frosting:
  • Melt 9 tablespoons butter and chocolate chips in a saucepan. (I used 1/2 bag of green mint chocolate chips and 1/2 bag Hershey's milk chocolate chips.) Pour melted chocolate over the filling. Cover and chill overnight (or in the freezer for a few hours if you are in a hurry!)
  • These bars are incredibly rich and sweet and minty, so I cut them pretty small. I usually get 60 bars to a pan!
