Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 c. shortening
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 2 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1 c. lukewarm water
  • 2 eggs, beaten lightly
  • 6 c. flour, sifted
  • 1 tsp. salt, sifted with flour

Method

  • Cream together sugar and shortening.
  • Add water.
  • Cool.
  • Add remaining ingredients.
  • Cover and place in refrigerator for several hours or overnight.
  • Shape into rolls and let rise 2 hours.
  • Bake at 325° about 20 minutes or until lightly browned. (This dough may be stored in refrigerator for several days.)
