Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 c. (2 1/2 sticks) butter
  • 2/3 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 1/3 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 c. unbleached flour
  • 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 c. oats (quick)
  • 1/2 c. oat bran
  • 3/4 c. raisins

Method

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • In small bowl measure out flour, baking soda, salt, oatmeal and oat bran.
  • In large bowl cream butter and sugars.
  • Add in egg and vanilla; beat till smooth.
  • Gradually add in dry ingredients.
  • Stir in raisins.
  • Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake 8-10 min.
  • Makes approximately 2 dozen cookies.
