Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. hot water
  • 1 envelope plain gelatin
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 c. chopped cabbage
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 c. chopped cucumber
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 3/4 c. mayonnaise

Method

  • Add the first 6 ingredients together in a saucepan.
  • Put on stove and heat until dissolved.
  • Bring to boiling point.
  • Cool and add the last 6 ingredients.
  • Mix well.
  • Put in dish and let jell. Cut in squares.
  • Serve on lettuce leaf.
  • You may double this recipe.
