Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. stew
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon grnd cloves
  • 3 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 3 tomatoes or possibly 1 can whole tomatoes
  • 1 c. beef broth
  • 1 sm. pumpkin (about 10 inch in diameter)
  • 4 potatoes
  • 8 onions
  • 2 c. green beans

Method

  • Flour meat and brown.
  • Add in tomatoes and broth; simmer about 1 1/2 hrs.
  • Cut pumpkin off.
  • Scoop out meat in chunks and measure 2 c.. Leave well about 1/2 inch thick.
  • Leave bottom thick.
  • Stir pumpkin chunks, potato, onions, and beans.
  • Boil.
  • Spoon in pumpkin shell.
  • cover with pumpkin top.
  • Bake in a pan at 350 degrees for 45 min till tender.
