Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef (preferably chuck)
  • 3 or 4 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 3 or 4 carrots, chopped
  • 1 lb. fresh green beans
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 2 to 3 c. water
  • 3 or 4 celery stalks, chopped
  • 2 sliced onions

Method

  • Lots of vegetables can be added or substituted for those listed. Examples are canned green beans, mixed vegetables, potatoes, mushrooms, etc., but I would go with either all fresh or all canned, not a mixture, except for the sliced onions.
