Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. onion, chopped
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 1 lb. ground beef or turkey
  • 1 (8 oz.) can mushrooms, drained
  • 1/2 can cream of mushroom or chicken soup (undiluted)
  • 1 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

Method

  • Cook onion and garlic in margarine until transparent.
  • Brown ground meat.
  • Add flour.
  • Cook about 5 minutes over low heat.
  • Add salt, pepper, mushrooms and cream of mushroom soup.
  • Simmer 10 minutes.
  • Add sour cream and heat through.
  • Serve immediately. Don't boil the sour cream.
  • Serve over egg noodles or mashed potatoes.
