Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 tsp. butter
  • 4 1/2 tsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1 (4 1/2 oz.) can chicken broth
  • 1 c. chopped broccoli
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
  • 1 c. cubed full cooked ham
  • 1/2 c. whipping cream
  • 1/8 tsp. dried thyme
  • 3/4 c. shredded Swiss cheese

Method

  • In saucepan, melt butter. Whisk in flour until smooth. Gradually add broth. Bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Add the broccoli and onion; cook and stir until crisp-tender. Add the ham, cream and thyme. Heat through. Stir in the cheese until melted. Yield: 2 servings.
