- 1 1/2 kg minced fish
- 3 onions, sliced
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 2 tablespoons matzo meal
- 2 eggs and 1 egg yolks
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 carrots
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon seafood, spice
- 1 cup cold water
- Curry Sauce
- 3/4 cup vinegar
- 3/4 cup water
- 3 bay leaves
- 1 tablespoon peppercorn
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons apricot jam
- 2 tablespoons curry powder
Method
- To make the sauce:.
- Dissolve the curry powder in the water.
- Add all other ingredients and bring to the boil for approximately 10 minutes.
- To make the fried fish:.
- Mince fish, carrots and onion.
- Add all other ingredients.
- Shape into balls and dip into additional matzo meal.
- Fry the fish until golden.
- Place fried fish in serving dish and pour over the sauce.
- Refrigerate until serving.
- Serve at room temperature or cold.
