Ingredients
- 1 qt. cut up green tomatoes
- 2 qt. sliced cabbage
- 3 large onions
- 2 sweet red peppers
- 1 tsp. white mustard seed
- 1/4 tsp. celery seed
- 1 tsp. turmeric
- 2 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 qt. vinegar
Method
- Finely chop tomatoes, cabbage, onions and red peppers. Combine with remaining ingredients in a kettle. Bring to a boil for 10 minutes. Pour into hot sterile jars; allow 1-inch from lid. Seal jars. Store in cool dark place. Makes 8 pints.
