Ingredients

  • 1 lb. fresh green beans
  • 1 Tbsp. sliced red chile pepper
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 c. chicken broth
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. Dijon mustard
  • grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. sesame seed, toasted

Method

  • Wash green beans; trim ends and remove strings.
  • Cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces.
  • Place beans and sliced red chile pepper in a 2-quart baking dish.
  • Add water; cover with heavy-duty plastic wrap.
  • Microwave at High for 12 to 14 minutes, or until beans are tender, stirring twice.
  • Let stand, covered, 3 to 4 minutes.
