Ingredients
- 1 lb. fresh green beans
- 1 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 tsp. onion powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
Method
- Wash beans, trim ends and remove strings.
- Snap if desired or leave whole.
- Arrange beans in a steaming rack above boiling water.
- Cover and cook 10 to 12 minutes.
- Meanwhile, melt margarine and add garlic and mushrooms.
- Cook until mushrooms are tender, stirring constantly.
- Add beans and remaining ingredients to mushrooms.
- Cook 3 minutes more.
