Ingredients
- 1 to 1 1/4 lb. ground chuck
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 large can stewed tomatoes
- 1 can kidney beans
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 to 6 tsp. Gebhardt chili powder (if possible)
- 3 to 6 tsp. hot salsa or picante
Method
- Add salt to meat; then fry meat.
- Pour off excess grease. Lightly coat meat with flour to absorb all grease.
- Add chili powder and mix.
- Add tomatoes, onion and kidney beans.
- Add water and salsa or picante to chili.
- Simmer for hours until done.
- Stir periodically.
- No grease on chili!
