Ingredients
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 c. oil
- 1 (4oz.) can mushroom stems and pieces
- 1 (20 oz.) can gluten steaks
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1 c. bread crumbs
- 1 c. sour cream
Method
- Saute onion in oil.
- Add mushrooms and simmer for 5 minutes, reserving mushroom liquid.
- Remove onions and mushrooms from pan. Dip steaks in beaten egg, then in bread crumbs and saute in oil. Place alternate layers of steaks, onions and mushrooms in buttered casserole.
- Mix liquid from steaks with mushroom liquid and sour cream; pour over casserole.
- Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Makes 6 servings.
