Ingredients
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 1 tablespoon ginger
- 12 teaspoon cinnamon
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 34 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 14 cup molasses
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
Method
- Mix flour, ginger, salt, cinnamon, and baking soda, and sift together.
- Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy.
- Beat in egg and molasses.
- Then add flour mixture.
- Beat until smooth.
- Drop by teaspoonful into additional granulated sugar.
- Shape into balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet 2" apart.
- Bake 12-15 minutes at 350*.
- Cool and store in a tight container.
