Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. scalded regular milk
  • 1 yeast
  • 1/4 c. warm water with 1 tsp. sugar
  • 3 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. melted shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. raisins
  • pound cake, cut or torn into cubes
  • vanilla pudding, mixed with whipped topping
  • whipped topping, mixed with vanilla pudding
  • slivered almonds, toasted
  • frozen strawberries or raspberries with syrup
  • whipped topping (for garnish)

Method

  • Layer cake, then fruit with syrup, a few almonds and pudding mixture.
  • Repeat layers, ending with pudding mixture.
  • Garnish with whipped topping and pieces of fruit and almonds.
  • Chill several hours.
  • Use a large bowl or punch bowl.
