Ingredients
- 2 c. cubed soft bread
- 5 Tbsp. melted butter
- 1/2 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 c. cooked mixed vegetables
- 2 Tbsp. onion, chopped
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1 lb. cooked, drained hamburger
- Tomato, sliced
Method
- Mix bread cheese and 2 Tbsp. melted butter.
- Spread half in greased 1 qt. casserole dish.
- Put vegetables on top of breading mixture.
- Combine remaining melted butter and onions; cook until onions are tender then blend flour, salt, pepper and milk for gravy.
- Add hamburger to gravy.
- Pour gravy mixture over vegetable and bread in dish.
- Cover with a layer of tomato slices.
- Top with remaining bread mixture.
- Bake uncovered for 25 minutes in 350° oven.
