Ingredients

  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. Jell-O gelatin (any flavor)
  • 2 c. ice cubes
  • 1 (8 3/4 oz.) can fruit cocktail, drained
  • 1 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 4 oz. Cool Whip

Method

  • Dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
  • Add ice cubes; stir 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Remove unmelted ice.
  • Fold 1 cup Cool Whip into 1/2 of gelatin until smooth.
  • Pour into 8-inch square pan.
  • Chill for about 5 minutes, until set.
  • Add fruit to remaining gelatin and spoon over creamy layer.
  • Chill until firm.
