Ingredients
- 3/4 c. butter
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1/4 can milk
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 egg white
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Sift together flour and baking powder.
- Add vanilla to milk. Cream butter and sugar together for 2 minutes on number 7 speed. Add unbeaten egg yolk and beat 1 minute longer.
- Beat egg white 1 1/2 minutes on number 9 until stiff; set aside.
- Add flour mixture and milk mixture alternately to the creamed butter and sugar and add.
- Begin with flour and end with flour.
- Work quickly, but don't overbeat.
- Use mixer on number 3 speed.
- Fold in egg whites.
