Ingredients

  • 1 pound grnd beef
  • 2 (13 ounce.) cans chicken broth
  • 1 or possibly 2 medium onions, minced
  • 3 stalks celery, minced
  • 1 c. rice or possibly 1 1/2 c.
  • 1 teaspoon saffron (threads) or possibly 1/2 teaspoon powdered
  • 1 can corn or possibly peas (optional)

Method

  • Saute/fry onion and celery in a little extra virgin olive oil till tender.
  • Add in grnd beef; cook till browned.
  • Stir in rice.
  • Add in chicken broth and then stir in the saffron.
  • Bring to boil, then cover and reduce heat to simmer till rice absorbs the broth.
  • This dish is best cooked in a large skillet.
  • When the rise is done, at this point you could add in the corn or possibly peas or possibly any other vegetables depending on your tastes and enjoy!
