Ingredients
- 1/2 stick margarine, melted
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. self-rising flour
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 (No. 2) can fruit (cherries, peaches, apples)
- 1/4 c. sugar (if fruit isn't presweetened)
Method
- Melt margarine in large baking dish.
- Combine flour, sugar and milk.
- Pour over margarine in dish.
- Heat fruit with 1/4 cup of sugar if it isn't presweetened.
- Pour over batter.
- Bake at 400° for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Yield:
- 6 to 8 servings.
