Ingredients
- 1 stick margarine
- 3/4 c. sugar or equivalent
- 1 c. self-rising flour
- 3/4 to 1 c. milk
- 2 c. fruit
Method
- Melt margarine in 1-quart size casserole in oven.
- Mix sugar, flour and milk.
- Pour batter into melted margarine.
- Spoon fruit over top.
- Use either small can of sliced fruit with syrup or fresh fruit with water and sugar added to make 2 cups.
- Add spice to fruit, if desired.
- Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
