Ingredients
- 3 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. white corn syrup
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. water
- 2 egg whites
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Method
- Boil sugar, syrup and water to fairly hard ball stage.
- Beat egg whites and salt in the meantime.
- Pour syrup slowly into egg whites with mixer going at moderate speed.
- Continue to beat until gloss disappears and candy is ready to drop.
- Add vanilla and nuts.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls onto wax paper.
