Ingredients

  • 1/2 packet pie crust mix
  • 2 tsp. chopped nuts
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. butter, melted
  • 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
  • 1/2 c. whipping cream
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 c. brandy or light flavoring
  • 1 c. pecan halves

Method

  • Heat oven to 375°.
  • Prepare pastry for 9-inch one-crust pie except stir in chopped nuts before adding water.
  • In small mixer bowl, beat eggs, sugar, salt, butter, syrup and cream.
  • Stir in vanilla, brandy or flavoring and pecans.
  • Pour into pastry lined pie pan.
  • Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until filling is set and pastry is golden brown.
  • Cool.
  • Serves 10 to 12.
