Ingredients

  • 12 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 12 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 pinch turmeric powder
  • salt
  • 2 teaspoons oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 12 teaspoon cumin seed
  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 250 g frozen peas or 250 g fresh peas
  • 2 tablespoons low-fat plain yogurt

Method

  • In a medium saucepan, heat oil over medium heat.
  • Add onion and saute until onions are soft.
  • then add salt,red chilli,coriander,cumin and turmeric and stir .
  • then add tomatoes, peas and yogurt.
  • Reduce heat, and simmer until the peas are tender, about 5-10 minutes.
  • Serve hot over basmati rice, chappatis, tortillas ,bread or pitta bread.
