- 12 teaspoon red chili powder
- 12 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 pinch turmeric powder
- salt
- 2 teaspoons oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 12 teaspoon cumin seed
- 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
- 250 g frozen peas or 250 g fresh peas
- 2 tablespoons low-fat plain yogurt
Method
- In a medium saucepan, heat oil over medium heat.
- Add onion and saute until onions are soft.
- then add salt,red chilli,coriander,cumin and turmeric and stir .
- then add tomatoes, peas and yogurt.
- Reduce heat, and simmer until the peas are tender, about 5-10 minutes.
- Serve hot over basmati rice, chappatis, tortillas ,bread or pitta bread.
