Ingredients
- 1 qt. milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. uncooked rice
- 1/2 c. sugar
- raisins (if desired)
Method
- Place rice and milk in heavy saucepan.
- Bring to a slight boil.
- Cover over low heat.
- After 1 hour, add sugar and vanilla. Raisins may be added, if desired, last 15 minutes of cooking. Stir often; cook until thick.
- Careful, may scorch easily!
