Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- pinch of salt
- 1 c. water
- 2 1/2 c. cake flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 3 egg whites
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Cream butter and gradually add sugar, creaming well while adding.
- Then add salt and water alternately with cake flour in which has been sifted baking powder.
- Last, fold in the beaten whites of the eggs.
- Add vanilla.
- Bake in layers.
