Ingredients
- 1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 c. yellow cornmeal
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 c. melted butter or margarine
- 1 c. milk
Method
- Preheat oven to 425°.
- Combine flour, cornmeal, salt, sugar and baking powder.
- Combine eggs, butter and milk; beat until blended.
- Add to dry ingredients and mix just to blend.
- Do not overbeat.
- Pour into an oiled 8-inch square baking dish and bake 25 to 30 minutes or until top is golden brown.
