Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 c. presifted flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 c. melted butter
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts
  • 12 oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Grease 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch jelly roll pan. Onto a piece of waxed paper, sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Pour butter into mixing bowl. Add sugar. Stir until dissolved. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla; add flour mixture, beating well until smooth. Stir in walnuts and chocolate chips; spread into pan. Bake 25 to 30 minutes. Cool; cut into 3 1/2 x 2-inch bars. Makes 24.
