- 5 cups wheat, corn or rice cereal
- 1 cup salted peanuts
- 1/2 cup salted whole roasted almonds
- 1 Half Stick (1/4 cup) Land O Lakes Butter
- 1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3/4 cup caramel candy corn*
- 3/4 cup candy-coated chocolate pieces or dark chocolate chips
Method
- Combine cereal, peanuts and almonds in bowl; set aside.
- Combine butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and cinnamon in small glass measuring cup.
- Microwave, stirring after each minute, 1-2 minutes or until mixture boils.
- Pour butter mixture over cereal mixture; stir to coat.
- Microwave 5 minutes, stirring after each minute.
- Pour mixture onto waxed paper.
- Sprinkle with candy corn and chocolate pieces.
- Cool completely.
- Store in container with tight-fitting lid.
- *Substitute candy corn flavor appropriate for the season or use caramel candy bits.
