Ingredients

  • 5 cups wheat, corn or rice cereal
  • 1 cup salted peanuts
  • 1/2 cup salted whole roasted almonds
  • 1 Half Stick (1/4 cup) Land O Lakes Butter
  • 1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup caramel candy corn*
  • 3/4 cup candy-coated chocolate pieces or dark chocolate chips

Method

  • Combine cereal, peanuts and almonds in bowl; set aside.
  • Combine butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and cinnamon in small glass measuring cup.
  • Microwave, stirring after each minute, 1-2 minutes or until mixture boils.
  • Pour butter mixture over cereal mixture; stir to coat.
  • Microwave 5 minutes, stirring after each minute.
  • Pour mixture onto waxed paper.
  • Sprinkle with candy corn and chocolate pieces.
  • Cool completely.
  • Store in container with tight-fitting lid.
  • *Substitute candy corn flavor appropriate for the season or use caramel candy bits.
