Ingredients
- 1 c. shortening
- 2 eggs
- 2 3/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. cream of tartar
Method
- First mix shortening, sugar and eggs, then add remaining ingredients (flour should be added a little at a time to prevent clumps and to make even).
- Make dough into small balls.
- Place a few at a time in a bowl with 1 teaspoon cinnamon and 3/4 cup sugar.
- Place lid on bowl and shake until dough is covered.
- Place on cookie sheet and bake at 375° for approximately 10 to 12 minutes.
- Great around Christmastime.
