Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. self-rising flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 c. water
- 1 stick margarine
- 1/2 c. Crisco oil
- 4 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
Method
- Sift sugar, flour, soda and cinnamon together in one bowl. Then put water, margarine, oil and cocoa in a double boiler and bring to a boil.
- Pour over dry ingredients.
- Then mix buttermilk, eggs and vanilla; add to batter.
- Pour into a 13 x 9-inch greased pan.
- Bake in preheated 375° oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
- Then spread chocolate icing on it.
